Becoming a member requires a willingness to take four steps in your experience at Heartland:
Since our mission is to help people find and follow Jesus, it is essential that members have a clear understanding of what it means to become a follower of Jesus (the “Bible” word for that is salvation) and are able to identify when their relationship with Jesus Christ began. If you’d like a simple explanation of what it means to have a relationship with Jesus Christ, read about salvation here.
We believe the Bible is clear about God’s desire for followers of Jesus to make a public profession of faith through baptism. If you haven’t been baptized since becoming a follower of Jesus, just mark “No” when asked on the membership application, and we will contact you. You may click here to access more information on baptism.
We equate membership with involvement in an ongoing small group environment, serving on a ministry team, or serving in some other leadership role. If you are NOT yet involved at Heartland, but are interested, please click here and return to the membership application once you’ve begun your involvement.
When you become a member, you are agreeing to support this ministry with your finances, time, and gifts and talents. You are also agreeing to live a lifestyle that reflects a growing relationship with Jesus Christ and allow yourself to be held accountable to the spiritual oversight of Heartland’s Elders.
If you would like to take the step of becoming a member at Heartland Community Church, register for the next available Membership Class. During this experience, Josh Peigh will give you additional insights into the mission, vision and DNA that drive our ministry.
If there is a membership class coming up soon, you can sign up on our Event Registration page. If you have any questions, please click here to contact us.
