How Making Connections Should Be Done
Be ready to meet and greet NEW people and those with questions. Minimize talking with people you already know or who you’re serving with during this time. Don’t get distracted with phones or electronics.‘Nuf said!!! 🙂Use your people smarts! What level of connection is appropriate for this person?Really important! We are doers, not just greeters. Use phrases like:- “Let me show you…”
- “I can take you…”
- “Let me help you sign up for that…”
Don’t just tell guests where to go and what to do. Accompany them to where they need to go. For example, “Your kids will love our kids’ church program called Launch. Let me walk you to the new family desk and the team there will be able to help you out and show your kids to their classrooms.”
