Thousands of people have attended Marriage Matters at Heartland. Some have needed a few tools to help them through some tough times on their way to making their marriage better, and many marriages have been saved.
If you’re having marital issues or just want to make your marriage better, come to Marriage Matters. Or if you know someone who marriage needs some help, let them know about Marriage Matters. They don’t have to call Heartland their church home to attend.
Here’s what to expect during this workshop:
Each session meets from 6:30-8:30 p.m. on Tuesday evenings. Participants sit at round tables for about an hour of teaching followed by a small group discussion. Marriage Matters was originally designed for marriages that are struggling or even in the ditch. Many couples come out of the workshop with renewed hope. It is also great for people who just want their marriages to be better, even for engaged couples. You are welcome to come by yourself if your spouse is unable or unwilling to attend with you.
There is no cost and childcare is available for a small fee. Some people hesitate to admit their marriage is in trouble and fear that they would show up the first night and it would just be them and a few other couples. In reality, more than 3,000 people have come to Marriage Matters and each time we offer it, about 100 people attend.
Marriage Matters meets Tuesday nights at Heartland in the South Auditorium starting April 11th. There is no cost to attend.
Over 1,000 people have been through the Rebuilders workshop at Heartland, a workshop in a teaching/discussion format for people who have been through a divorce. It is not designed as a support group for people to get through the pain and early stages of a divorce, rather it’s for people who have gotten past the initial trauma of the divorce and are ready to take an honest look back at the marriage that failed to see what they can learn from the mistakes they made.
67% of divorced people will get married again and most will make the same mistakes in the second marriage that led to the breakdown of their first marriage, unless they take very intentional steps to make changes. Rebuilders is there to help them make those changes.
If you’re ready to start rebuilding your life, register here and come Tuesdays from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. Child care is available for a small fee. Rebuilders meets in the South Auditorium of Heartland.
