Whether you’re a people pleaser or simply going with the flow, saying ‘yes’ when we want to say ‘no’ leads into all sorts of troublesome quandaries. Having healthy boundaries is not selfish; it’s being a good steward of our gifts, talents, and resources. Saying ‘no’ to the good allows us to say yes to the best. This course will help you develop a strong, healthy, easy-to-understand ‘no’ and help you understand how to guard your heart against unhealthy relationships.

Cynthia, a Heartlander since 2005, had this to say about the Boundaries class: “It’s comforting to know that I’m only responsible for my decisions…not others’. Boundaries has clarified for me what is mine to deal with and what is not. I cannot live their life for them which is new, freeing, and a little bit scary!”

And Jes sent this in: “The idea of ‘freedom’ because of ‘boundaries’ didn’t make sense to me at first. The more I learn about and practice boundaries though, the more I feel like I really understand Jesus and how confident I can be in who I am because I feel free from the expectations and baggage of others.”

This 9 session class, Boundaries, based on the book by Dr. Henry Cloud and Dr. John Townsend. Sessions are Wednesday nights from 6:30-8pm. Online registration only. Child care available.

Handouts are provided but participants are strongly encouraged to read along in the book. Gently used copies of the book are available for $5.00, and new copies available in Journey.
