We received $819.00 for Change for a Dollar last weekend. All the proceeds went to the Veterans Network Committee’s Honor Flight 2015. The Honor Flight is a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to experience the War Memorials built by a grateful nation for those who served. The proceeds from Change for a Dollar will help them to realize their dreams of honoring their fallen comrades and also provide closure.

We received $801.00 for Change for a Dollar last weekend. Here are the two organizations it went towards:
Winnebago County CASA (Court Appointed Special Advocate) – It costs $1,070 per CASA. The average number of children one CASA serves is 3, so that breaks down to $350 per child. With our donation, we are helping them recruit and train these volunteers.
Warm Feet Mission – Ann Honer started Warm Feet Mission from her Garage with the help of several neighbors in 2009. They provide socks for the underprivileged and homeless in our local community. Each pair of socks is folded and includes a card saying “The Lord Walks With You.”
Thank you so much for partnering with these amazing ministries. Keep dropping your loose change in the buckets every week, and we’ll keep making change for a dollar together!
Last weekend, we received $710.00 from Change for a Dollar, and 100% of the money was gifted to Ben, a 15-year-old Heartlander who has been diagnosed with a rare type of Parkinson Syndrome. His family is raising $5,000 to go to the Mayo Clinic in Rochester, NY.
